The adolescents of the demigods' camp are protected from monsters by a force field. But the barrier is weakened when the tree that forms the basis of it is poisoned. Percy Jackson is the focus of a prophecy that says he will either save or destroy Mount Olympus. Now it's up to him and his friends to find the Golden Fleece and heal the tree. But Percy's nemesis Luke, son of Hermes, is also after the fleece – to awaken a thing that has slept for millennia.

Percy Jackson went on his first adventure three years ago – a rather childish movie that nonetheless matched its source material. Although the second part has a new director and stars, the simplistic storytelling remains – which is fine for younger audiences, but their older escorts may find themselves somewhat bored.
